2022 Christmas Drive
On the morning of the 20th of December, 2022, the already wrapped and love-filled donations and the gifts we had received for this year's Christmas Drive were being taken to the Apopka New Hope Missionary Baptist Church by our eager volunteers.Â
This was our third Christmas Drive with the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Apopka, our second major drive for the semester, and our first major event with our next generation of Almond Blossom volunteers. This year we had 33 families, totaling 54 kids, receive gifts from our donors and volunteers. On top of the usual toys and household essentials in our drive, our generous donors decided to also provide various board games for the Church's library.
But what is a winter holiday without a warm and comforting holiday meal?
Provided by the church's kitchen, our volunteers helped serve piping hot meals to the families and children, adding a heartiness to the already lively atmosphere.
And what is a winter holiday without the Christmas carols?
Begun by Pastor Smith, the room quickly filled with the music of St. Nick. We sang "12 Nights of Christmas," "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer," "Jingle Bell Rock," and many more.
